Fleurieu Peninsula

Nestled amongst the vines with commanding hilltop views of the Vale.

Perched on a hillside in the Fleurieu Peninsula, this striking single-storey home embraces panoramic views of surrounding vineyards and distant sea sunsets. The home’s aesthetic is defined by multiple sweeping rooflines, appearing to hover with a double raked roof soaring up to 4.5m. Function meets form in oversized piers of imported 47mm rumbled red bricks that tastefully conceal downpipes, while the Spotted Gum vertical cladding artfully camouflages the entry door.

Upon entry, you are greeted by an expansive gallery illuminated by large hanging pendant lights. The bespoke steel entry door and handle add to the home’s unique charm, a theme further emphasized by custom steel canopies and P50 shadow line details throughout.

The home’s main living area, boasting high ceilings ranging from 3m to 4.2m, invites an abundance of natural light and offers breath-taking views. High-level windows with blind and winder automation add to the sense of grandeur and space. These design elements contribute to a sense of human scale and proportion within the area, beautifully balancing light and space.

The crafted kitchen island bench subtly replicates the steel canopy detail from outside, creating continuity between the exterior and interior design. The home’s kitchen also boasts high-level windows, enhancing cross ventilation and creating a comfortable, well-lit environment conducive to culinary creativity.

Attention to spatial ergonomics is evident in the master bedroom and ensuite, where aesthetics and functionality harmoniously coexist. An emphasis on storage is present, seen in the hallway leading to the main bedroom and powder room.

In the backyard, the home’s elevated position shines like a beacon, showcasing the remarkable architectural features against the backdrop of the night sky. Its luxury, cutting-edge style, and quality workmanship make it a stunning testament to the capabilities of Finesse Built’s in-house design.

Environmental Sustainability

Environmental sustainability is a key focus in the design of this home. The North-facing open plan Kitchen, Living, and Family area ensures optimal light penetration. Layered steel canopies and expansive eaves serve as shading devices, while the thermal mass of the feature bricks, Comfort Plus glazing to the North West façade, cross ventilation of automated high-level windows in the Kitchen and passage, a 75mm roof blanket, and heavy insulation to all the ceilings, external and internal walls all contribute to the building’s efficiency.
